What is a Christian? There are lots of definitions around - some of them being very naive like 'someone born in a Christian country' (as if there is such a thing!); others go to the other extreme and rate someone as a Christian only if they believe in their particular Creed, or accept their 'Statement of Belief' in its entirety. (I've been through all that). However, my personal basis is taken from a statement by St Paul in Romans (Ch 10 v 9) and it is simply this: 'Anyone who can affirm that 'Jesus is Lord' - concise, yet very profound.
